Accommodation Information

The majority of rooms will be available at the retreat venue itself, Hotel Las Islas, Barú. We have also selected a variety of comfortable 3- and 4-star hotels on other islands within the Rosario Islands, all located just 5–10 minutes by boat from the retreat venue.

These hotels offer convenient and comfortable accommodation while keeping guests close to the main retreat location. We have carefully curated this selection not only for its proximity, but also because the boat transfers—particularly at night after dinner—are safe and generally calm, with routes specifically selected to minimise water turbulence and ensure a smooth journey.

All of the hotels have been privately reserved for our group, and two of them are located on private islands.

In all hotels, rooms are booked on a first-come, first-served basis, once you have registered. Since rooms are distributed among several locations, the system will display a SOLD OUT notice when a particular hotel has reached full capacity.

Room Descriptions & Rates

Prices are based on the number of occupants, not the number of beds.

A Single Room usually includes one bed and is intended for single occupancy.

A Double Room includes two beds and is intended for two-person occupancy. Kindly note that each participant is responsible for finding a roommate. Please note that the roommate identified needs to book the “double room occupancy” as well, at the same time, to avoid overbooking. Refrain from booking in advance “double bed occupancy” without knowing who the roommate will be. In the absence of a roommate, the single-room rate will apply. Kindly let us know the name of both occupants.

COUPLES: If it is preferred to book a single room with one queen or king bed, please select and pay twice the double occupancy rate, once for each occupant, and at the same time. Kindly let us know the name of both occupants.

All rooms have ensuite bathrooms.

Meals during retreat days

Lunch and dinner will be provided daily at the retreat venue, beginning with the welcome dinner on January 9th and continuing through the farewell dinner on January 19th.

Transportation from Hotels to the retreat venue, at Hotel las Islas

All hotels are located within a 5-10 -minute beautiful boat ride from the retreat venue. We have arranged daily transportation in small boats to bring participants from each hotel to the retreat venue each morning, returning after dinner in the evening. This transportation is included in the retreat fee.

The accommodation fee covers 11 nights: check-in on January 9th and check-out on January 20th.

Accommodation for Extra days before or after retreat

If you plan to stay in other hotels or accomodation in las Islas del Rosario or Cartagena city or elsewhere before January 9th or beyond January 20th, we strongly recommend making your own arrangements as soon as possible, as this time is high season and hotels fill quickly. If you wish to remain in the same hotel you have been during retreat for the extra nights, you need to book with them directly ( see websites in the HOTEL BOOKING PAGE)

Breakfast and taxes and tips are included in the accomodation fee.

Any additional hotel services ( spa or water activities ) wherever you stay, are to be arranged and paid directly to the hotel.
